I like that picture of him in the doorway, smoking a cigarette with years left to live.

I'm starting to run out of pictures of Pick EM UP. Hope to find some more old picture albums, but it may be a while.

Some where there should be some color pictures of this old coach. Hope so it sure was pretty.

Those are great photos!

Photography is about catching a preserving a moment in time. Your posted old photos are a perfect example of captured, preserved time. You might want to consider giving copies of the images to a local or state museum to preserve the images.

NC has a very nice history museum. We were there a year or so ago and they actually have the real shop that Carbine Williams used/built/owned sitting in the museum. There was a display of old photograph taken up in the NC mountains during the 20's or 30's that were extremely interesting to see.

Later,
Dan

Thanks Dan,
Good Idea. The old court house in Tombstone that Grandad did most of the restoration work on is now a museum. May donate a lot of them to it. We also have a piano in there. It was the first piano ever in Tombstone with quite a history.

I do the scanning at high DPI so they will print well. Then shrink them down to post or email size and save with a different name. There are a few that I plan to frame for the family.

Here a couple of pics that I don't think I've posted yet.
A church of some sort. Not sure just what religion it was for. What ever his girlfriend at time the was.

Not sure where this old picture came from or who took it.

Grandad & Grandma in 1938 at San Ysidro NM.
Win a Six pack - Name the make of the auto in the picture. :D

Well you folks missed out on a Free 6 Pack. :D
The old car is a 'Whippet" that belonged to Aunt Leta. When I was about 3 or 4 I ask mom about it.
she said something to the effect "It's like a "Model A", only better.

I have found a lot more pictures & stories. Too busy to scan them - YA right just need to get off my lazy butt & do it.
