Can anyone give me instructions on changing both fuel filters on a bx2230?
The shut off solenoid should keep fuel from leaking when I change the one in the engine compartment
The filter between the tank and the solenoid is the one I'm worried about

Use vice grips to crimp the fuel line.

Easy, remove filter and install new one..Do not bother crimping line. You will lose about 4 oz fuel...It will start right up..

The fuel solenoid will not keep the fuel from leaking. It only energizes for a few seconds to shut down the fuel rack in the pump to kill the engine.

How do you get to the filter that is close to the fuel tank?

There are 2 filters. One up by the injector pump, the other just inline ahead of the electric pump. To get to the one ahead of the pump, pull off your mower if you have one, and crawl underneath. There is no filter up by the tank itself.
