The tractor probably might weigh 2000 lbs total, including the loader and backhoe. (The tractor is under 1100lbs, the backhoe is 500, the loader is tiny with a 36" wide bucket, so almost certainly doesn't weight even 400 lbs.)

A few years ago I figured out my tractor weighs in at ~ 2250 lbs. I think the BH is around 700. But I didn't look this up just now; I'm relying on a few year old memory.

It happening unexpected is a whole different thing, but you use that technique to cross trenches with a backhoe.

I knew what was happening the backhoe lifted the whole back up about 3 feet off the ground!

I was mowing with my 59 JD 730, when I ducked under a branch of a mulberry tree. The setting sun was in my eyes and I didn't notice how close I was to my windmill tower. Yup, you guessed it! My outside tire edge caught the leg and started to roll up on it. I shut it down but the damage was done. As I looked up, the entire tower laid down, mill and all, over the front of the tractor. Another couple of feet and I would have been under it. There are some days when you can't blame it on anyone else and cussing just doesn't do any good. I still haven't resurrected the mill.

My wife was checking fences in a golf cart with the dog and found a deer hung in the fence. She got out to help the deer and then the dog sat on the gas pedal. The golf cart climbed right up a steel post until the dog fell backwards off the gas pedal.

The dog had a blast, just check out his expression. The wife's expression is a little less happy.

By the way, the deer died, probably of fright.

I know and I've used the same method - but when you're not expecting it and it happen! WooHoo! Also, if it hadn't been balanced it would have tumbled to one side since only the FEL and Backhoe bucket were on the ground. :confused2:

Not in this case.. I need an explaination of what happened and how the purple strap got put on there, and I do not understand why those rear wheels are not on the ground. I guess I don't understand the angles involved or something.

almost flipped the tractor, really need some help! - TractorByNet.com

The purple rope was tied back there and then do a large tree to stop the tractor rolling! I needed to get a tow truck in to pull it out and so it was left like that with just the rope overnight!

Luckily no damage and i wasn't hurt, i am still only new to this with a little over 80 hours under my belt so any help recommending an adequate amount of counterweight would be much appreciated!

I was mowing with my bucket on. I pulled a U turn in my parking pad area in front of my barn to make another pass. I knew i was going to miss my truck that was parked along side it..... well least i thought i was going to.

While at nearly full speed 2nd range pulling a left hand turn, I put far right bucket tooth clean through the side wall of my truck tire bringing the tractor to a sudden stop.

Had the tractor been forward another 1" i would have hit my rock rail on the side no damage done... had i been backward another 1" i would have missed the truck completely like i was anticipating i would....
