Switch to turf maybe r4 tires

I have a 1720D with the rice tires and need something more friendly to the grass. I mostly use it to mow. I really need something wider that doesn't leave rutts where it is soft. I know hoye sells the wheels to switch to turf tire but it doesn't list the size tires I would need. I have 8.3/22 and 5/14 now. I was hoping someone might know what size tires i should be looking for and I'm willing to trade if someone around me has something I can use and wants aggressive tires.

I am not sure of the tire size - but Hoye should. When I swtiched to turf tires I had to source my own tires but that is only because there were no turfs to be found last summer and Hoye could not get them. The math was almost identical with having Hoye supply rims and tires versus me ordering rims from them and finding my own tires. I also had my loaded and I added some chains for snow and mud conditions.

I have good luck with the rims from Hoye - although the paint job could be better - they are already chipping paint and of course rusting. But it is a tractor.

R3s are a good option. They are easy on the lawn. Even normal ag bar-type tires are good as long as it's not too soggy.

Thats the problem it stays kinda soggy around here at times and I cant even get to some places with out making 6" deep ruts

I havent contacted Hoye about the sizes, maybe I'll have to do that.
In my line of work I come by all types of equipment and hope to come by some used tires for next to nothing :thumbsup:

Yes, I know I've seen some turfs on Craigslist almost the size that would work on my tractor.
