Tractor
Kubota L4400DT, w/FEL; 2021 Sidekick
Somehow, during a fence row clean out, I lost the wire hook that holds the 3 point top link up when no implement is on the tractor. I have looked at the Kubota parts website, and find no part number for one. I even have the service manual, and it makes no mention of a hook.

Any suggestions? Other than visit a dealership after dark with a crescent wrench of course...

In my parts manual it is just called a holder with part number(tc230-2942-0).
Hope this helps

Make your own from a welding rod (knock the flux core first) or a coat hanger. etc.

Thanks guys!! And General, if it makes you feel any better, I have buried my tractor just about that bad! (more than once..)

Thanks again

#9 galvanized wire ought to make a one that is stiff enough to hold yet can be bent to the shape that you want. We always had some around for clothes lines if you are old enough to know what a "clothes line" is.

Oh yea, we still use one occasionally, and I use #9 for fencing too.

Thanks!

I use a rubber bungie on mine. It's not to elegant but I find it much more handy and user friendly than the wire hook. If I am struggleing with an impliment I can just let go of the top link and it just goes up and hangs there instead of dropping down with a thud.

I tried the bungee, but if I use the tractor on rough terrain, it bounced too much. And I got tired of adjusting it. I will try to fashion one and if that doesn't work, I will break down and buy one.
