Top N Tilt for Dozer ?

For those who don't know, the 1984 John Deere 455D is a bulldozer. And for those familiar with it, I need some info help. Do you know what GPM of the hydraulic pump is? Thanks, Frank

I was looking for the same info for my Dresser TD7G, It wasn't listed in the specs in the Operators Manual but I found it in the Service Manual.

Hi Frank, finished it last fall, what a learning experience, no more know about hydraulics, John Deere plumbing, and fabricating than I intended. I will post some pictures soon. It is a great addition to the dozer allowing the finish grading I needed to do. I picked up a back blade and am looking for a rake. Also wish to use a hydraulic auger off the backhoe. We are swamped at work so will not be able to post untill next weedend at the earliest, Scott

I just want to let the forum know that I just purchased 3 manuals for my dozer off The John Deere Bookstore site. Operators manual, parts manual and tech repair manual. Rather inexpensive and they download immediately. You save them in your computer, blow them up, shrink them down and only need to print out the pages as needed. My local John Deere store loves me because I just give him the part number rather than having to explain what a gizmo looks like connecting to a whachamacallit. Thanks, Frank

I have had my 1984? JD 455D for about five years. It has the 9500 backhoe and regular 1 1/4 CY bucket. I just replaced the leaking head gasket and, while I had the head off, the fuel injectors. Next project is either replacing the internal seals in the barrel-type swing motor for the backhoe, rebuilding the governor section of the fuel injection pump, or replacing some worn linkage pins in the HLR transmission so the pressure in the clutch packs will be more consistent. But none of those things have reached the point of total disability, so I may just keep digging up pine trees.
