My 5445 appears to be stuck in Hi gear, put in nuetral and press green button on joystick and rabbit still lit up on dash and cannot get into 8 low gears, bad switch possibly?

Anyone want to take a stab at it?

Possibly the neutral switch. Does it happen all the time or just when its hot?

First time it has ever happened with me. I'm the second owner of tractor.

You are right MFRED, now that's I've tinkered with it a little bit you can move it in and out of Hi and Lo range when you start the tractor up and it's still cool. Once the engine warms up and the tractor has been on for just a little bit it stays in the range you are in until you turn tractor off and engine cools back down. Is that what you were getting at with your neutral switch suggestion?

Sounds like it. I think the switch got updated to one that could withstand high temps better. I would change that first. It's just a plug & play switch so you should be able to do it yourself in a few mins. Depending on how many hours you have a transmission calibration will help with overall performance.
