Vise restoration

I love to restore things and in most cases have had the best results simply re-painting the original colors.

Problem is I do not know the original color. After blasting a few parts may seem like red or orange but may be some primer also

Will post pictures as I blast and prime

I'm going to vote for hammered copper (Rustoleum).

I then went to search the internet for examples, which I used on a steel cabinet and old trunk metal parts recently. Lo and behold!!!, someone else who did a vise restoration using it! Here's the full link and then a picture here for those who want a quick preview.

I do not believe this vise has a colorful history as the Wilton but none the less it will suit my needs very well once restored and mounted to my (yet to be built) 3x4 welding table

I vote for Kubota orange. Nice color and you already have it. It's fun to fix things with what you have and that color is bright and clean.

Yes it is! Mine is a little more rounded but it does have that rough finish to it.
