JD, I've never experienced a kidney stone and hopefully never will - I hear they are BAD. Glad you are feeling better and you have my condolences about your uncle.
Jamie, nice to see you are back:thumbsup:

Happy birthday RON. :)

Mostly sunny today but got some dark clouds out there right now. High 60's or even low 70's F today. Will clean up some old lumber and then cut and split some firewood.

Thanks for the kind words Joemd11...that was the third stone I have had in about 9 years...the first one a person experiences is the worst as you really don't know what is happening to cause the pain, and my wife called the ambulance and I ended up in the ER and once there I felt really foolish upon learning the cause for my distress. Such a minor thing really, so the second and third times I stayed home and just guzzled lots of water to speed the little buggers thru my system. The ER cannot really do much aside from making you feel better by giving you pain meds and the only real thing they can do to speed the passage is to hydrate you. If you are having a stone and you CANNOT urinate or are getting blood in the urine, then by all means get to the ER. I didn't have any of those problems at all 3 instances. Live and learn.

Hit 98 here today, blisteringly hot and it is still 94 now.

Welcome back, SGFS....couldn't you use the internet service at the library this time?

Coffee still taste good after all the birthday partying yesterday. 63 degrees this morning with clear skies. Heading to a sticky 92 this afternoon. Not going to do much in that kind of heat.
Thanks all for the Birthday wishes. Got a great gift from our Grand Daughter yesterday. She had a baby girl. Scarlotte Anne. 7 lbs 2oz. Mother and baby doing great.
Good Morning All.

The alternative is not getting younger, but NOT getting any older (meaning you have died). Going to a funeral service today for my 84 year old uncle. He missed the alternative last Tuesday.
I'm very sorry to hear that, I wouldn't have made such a flippant joke if I'd been aware. Hopefully everything went as well as possible.

Gonna be a HOT on here. Heat advisory from Noon to 8pm with the index WELL over 100.
Maybe tomorrow also.

it was 72 when I got up, and the humidity was evident in the haze over the pond.

Coffee tastes awesome though.

Yesterday I burned one of the brush piles and all of my dud guinea eggs, plus the 3 keets that had died already. A hot burn pile fire at 93 and humid is truly HOT!

Be well all,
David

Up early today!

67 degrees right now and hazy. 95% humidity... Wow!!
A high of 93 expected and, like MossflowerWoods, we have a heat advisory of over 100 degrees.

I've got one job today...did some mowing yesterday (trimming after I put the rotary cutter in the shed) in an area I don't normally mow. I hit a rock and think I bent or damaged a blade on my RFM...gotta check that out.
