Well tank has pin hole leak, is there a good stainless steel option?

My galvanized tank rusted out and I would like to try stainless. Does anyone have a good source?
If I can't get stainless, I will go with fiberglass. I don't want a bladder, just the tank.
My tank lasted only 10 years and we have good water...

Don't discount bladder tanks. I know Well-X-Trol puts the water in the bladder, so that there is no contact to the steel tank. I have one in service for 25 years, no problems. The trick is to get the larger diameter tank, and a larger size. With that combo there is much less flex on the bladder, and longer life.

Just curious. Why not a bladder - lots less maintenance and the wate doesn't touch the tank. Failures of the bladder are rare.

I had one with a bladder and it only lasted 5 yrs. The two well guys I talked to also said that they have more issues with bladder tanks. It just seems like stainless would last 30 plus years.

My bladder tanks now are 20-25 years old, I don't know how old you are, but you might want to pass the replacement on to the next owner. SS tanks are not cheap.

They now make composite bladderless well tanks. Look into the Flexcon or the Well Mate brand, they each have one.

If you still want metal, perhaps you should investigate the 150 psi Quicktank. Regular galv. quicktanks are only rated for 75 psi, I assume that 150 psi would be slightly thicker.

I would assume stainless would cost several thousand, a regular 82 gallon galv. tank is about $500 +/-

I have to agree with Paul on the Well-X-trol mine is a least 20-25 yrs old but, it started making a some noise about a month ago so I may have to replace it soon and I will go back with the same. Well-X-Trol is American made.

I also have the same brand. IIANM the bladder is replaceable in them. From what I have heard, replacing them is a nightmare.
