And that is proof? If scientist want to claim man is causing then they need to prove it. The fact that they have not means something.

It's called science.
We collect data, make observations and draw a hypothesis. As more data is collected we modify and strengthen our hypothesis. If our model holds up we call it a theory.
There are those who believe (84% of the world's scientists) that there is enough info at this point to call it a theory, the theory of CC.When scientists observe and collect data on towns in Alaska that have to move because the perma-frost is melting under them they start to think that, hey this might be "proof" that our theory is valid!

Think what's happening? Again collecting data and studying something is no proof of anything. Formal scientific education is not relevant. There is no proof of man made global warming or anyother man made weather phenomenon. It's hard hitting but you have nothing, except some data and observations from people that lie and alter data and got caught. Not much to go on, it's a hoax and you got stung.

Very interesting. Formal scientific education is not relevant to understanding science. What is, a OUIJA board? Maybe a Magic 8 ball? The lying and data changing thing just won't pass muster. That tempest in a tea pot has been settled in favor of science. You want some lying and data changing ? Check into the reports commissioned by big oil. Big oil and their fellow travelers are getting super mileage out of their confusion campaign. They don't need to prove anything, just supply some non-scientific folks with enough disinformation to keep the topic confusing. So long as the regular guy on the street thinks multiple possibilities are equally probable (human nature, scientifically proven) even though they aren't, confusion will reign supreme and no consensus will form to take action that has a negative impact on big oil and friends.

If scientific education is NOT beneficial in understanding science then why go to a doctor. You got cancer? Take an aspirin or throw a dart at the Merk manual to select a pill.

You should be able to understand that no connection to man has been made in these observations and studies. The one link to man that was being made was CO2 emissions by man. Well, CO2 has already been debunked as a major factor in warming, and the miniscule amounts from man could not make a difference anyway. So the only connection to mans activities is gone. So I ask again where is your proof. CO2 emissions doesn't make a connection.

Now I ask 1 more time

Is 3 feet of ocean rise worse than 1 Mile of ice over north America.
Don't need any scientific proof. Common Sense will do fine.

I'm back to Resting My Case.:confused3:

I am rather surprised though, with this being more of a farming site,it would seem to me the farmers have the most to loose with the current conditions, so to have so many say there is nothing wrong, I recon ya'll would know. Therefore I am happy for ya'll and the bumper crops you must be reaping, year in and year out.
Those all day soaking rains to green up your fields must be a pleasure cause they seem to not happen anymore in our area. Its more of an all or nothing anymore round these parts, if the wind or late frost don't get ya first, its been that way for the past five years. And for every cold record we set, we seem the break 5-9 heat records.
Keep up the good work, and here's to another boomer year!

I am surprised by your sarcasm. To infer that going along with this movement will somehow change the weather in your area and you will return to what you consider normal for you is absurd. They just want control over you and what do with your life, go live it, buying a Prius is not going to change the weather for you now or in ten years.

I don't believe accepting there may be a problem mean I will be buying a Prius. But to tell ya the truth, I don't have any kids by choice, and as one who pretty much cared about the earth and environment, but seeing how many others believe there is no problem. I have to pretty much say as a motorcyclist "Pave the Planet", so I can live out the rest of my years carefree. Beisdes, if we are all not in this together, whats the point? Its much easier being a naysayer and doing nothing, seems like just the life I need.

So how are those crops anyway? Keep living in denile, all those "maybe next year will be better" comments are getting a bit old wouldn't ya say.

I'll say this one last time, the problem with this planet is pollution, man made pollution. It is destroying our oceans and our planet. I've given reams of proof on this, (coal pollution for example) but I'm just tired of the nonsense. I've given direct links to the API paying to muddy the waters of CC but in the end no one is going to change who doesn't want to. If we address pollution we address CC but we don't want to address pollution we want to keep going our sloppy messy ways and thinking our actions are not affecting anything. Well they are, the WHO says that pollution is giving us cancer and costing billions of dollars in medical expenses but how many seventy year old people here are drug free? Is that you HS? I'll bet it's not. We have no idea how to take care of our own health much less the planet, the pharmaceutical companies pull us one way and the energy companies pull us the other. We think we're free? I think we might as well be behind bars!

Right now I'm off the grid, zero footprint and in two months I'll have so much alternate energy that I will be heating my house this winter with it and payback of two to three years. So, you know what? I no longer give a fiddle, life is too short and I'm set even if the grid stops working tomorrow. I'm 67 and take no medicine, pay no medical bills and have no health issues, so tell me again who's free and who's being lead around by the nose.
So all of you nay sayers keep nay saying and let me know where that gets you in 5 years when oil prices are still leading you around by the rings in your noses as your health depreciates because you don't know how to live a healthy life. Make sure you keep blaming the nebulous "they", just like you are now.

I'm just not getting into this any longer I have solar trackers to design, something that I can see a difference in and a benefit from.

People have no idea what freedom is. Freedom is autonomy from those individuals and groups that want to control you. Now tell me who's in control and who isn't. But let's not think for ourselves , let's listen to some jamoke yelling on the radio who forms our opinions for us.

We have the worst medical care in the world, are number 27 in education (below Cuba) and use 25% of the world's energy.

If we got any stupider as a people we would forget how to stand erect!

I really like you quote about freedom, the drones here, only know what the Frank Luntz's tell them, and when they get the "E" mail they all spout the exact quotes word for word and swear they are all independent thinkers.
If you disagree they think they can bully you, It reminds me of the school In my neighbourhood they are called a GOOF.
Keep up the good thoughts, and the independence has a very satisfying feeling.

Thanks Johnp33,
Some people here think I'm blowing my own horn but I'm not. Isn't it just common sense to find out about the system that controls us and finding ways to not allow that manipulation?

I'm using the system to my benefit to live the least expensive, least controlled way possible. If that means I have to learn about taking care of myself and my family with rising fuel costs and rising medical costs than I think that's just common sense, not special, it's what everyone should be doing.

We want to blame Al Gore, who cares about Al Gore! Al Gore isn't living my life, I am. It's up to me to find a way to live and be well, not some doctor who is nothing more than a pill dispenser for the drug companies. I go for a check up once a year, not to have some doctors 'fix' me but to find out what they see, it's my responsibility to fix me. Because the moment they give you pill they own you and the drug companies own you.

Governments don't afford individual freedom, the best they do is offer a 'degree of flexibility', it's what I do with that flexibility that determines my freedom. I can blame everyone but what good does that do? That's what the talk show hosts do, they get everyone to blame everyone else. Nothing gets fixed, nothing gets resolved, we all just become professional blamers while we march to the doctors office for more pills and fill our cars up on the way to pay our fare share to the oil companies who do a great job of teaching us how to hate Al Gore.

So I figured it out. We are less controlled everyday by energy, food and drugs.

Blowing my horn or just smart enough to figure out how to get from under the corporate strangle hold this country is in?

So we're talking about the environment, it's everyone's responsibility, it's the legacy we leave our children and their children. The pollution I create on a personal level affects everyone on this planet. We can say it's only a drop in the bucket but it's one less polluted drop in the bucket. It's one person saying, "Hey this can't go on, I can't live with being a world slob and being the world's biggest per capita polluter. I have to change on a personal level."
