Anybody have any experience with Woodland Mills chippers? Under 2k Cdn for an 8" pto chipper sounds way cheap. Chinese maybe?

"Cheap" is subjective. If you're a professional, then yes. It's too cheap if you expect it to be a reliable source of income. But if you're just looking for something to help clean up occasionally around the property, it's actually quite a good value for the money. Been using mine for casual clean up following ice storms. Only one downtime - repair cost $65. Operative word; casual.

Good Morning, I bought the Wallenstein bxm42, cost $4235 CDN. I found the same machine in Iowa for $3900! I called the company to find out why and just got a runaround, seems the American way is to market stuff like this through distributors and not to sell to individual dealers by the manufactors. Got about 20 hours on it and am very satisfied. I can do about 90 cu ft of White Cedar chips in 1-1 1/2 hours. My tractor is a Kioti CK35hst and I would not go to anything smaller for this tool. 40hp would be better, but so far so good. I have not sharpened blades yet. Good Luck!! P.S. I'am originally from Sussex N.B. and I know it!!!

2600 for a self feed machine is very cheap. The self feed option on my Bear Cat is near 4k. I would be interested to know the weight of the flywheel, diameter, and number of knives plus length of knife. The drum looks too small to take a 8" log, brush and branchs less than 4" would look like the ideal capacity. I don't believe there is a machine made anywhere the Chinese haven't copied.
Its hard not to buy Chinese tools and machinery but I have been making a conscious effort. It would be a shame to see their economy take a dive and ours rise to a level of profitable productivity. I see my two favorite brands.... Snap - On & Milwaukee Power tools turned to the far east. Cross them off my list !!

I'am with you, Agent Blue. Thats why I bought North American. Too bad we have to buy foreign made tractors.

Bought my hydraulic 8" tWoodland Mills this Summer. Run it on my Kubota L6060 and it has been a real work horse around my property. Blades are still sharp after a fair amount of chipping hardwood. Strong unit and would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a solid unit for their property.
