Guys,
Just bought a new Bush Hog Heavy Duty 72" box blade with floating rear tailgate. It weighs 640lbs and I bought it mostly for rear ballast. I know Bobcat calls for 880lbs ballast for max lift, but this will have to do for now.

That's a lot of box blade for that tractor, but it should make a great ballast weight!

I have a ct230 with 72'' King Kutter box blade (500 lbs) works fine as rear ballest even with 68'' bucket full of dirt.

the 30 hores have no problem pulling it even when full clay w/teeth engaged

I think you misspelled horses or something else. All I know is there were 30 of them…sounds like the making of a great story.

Well you should be able to give a good review!! CJ
It's been a good box blade. Heavier than most and provides good ballast for the most part. If I had loaded tires, that would take care of any ballast issues. I haven't loaded my tires to keep my loads as light as possible for long hauls. Overall, the box blade is well built with corner gussets and a floating rear tailgate. It's set up for either cat 1 or 2 use. At the time of purchase, I also liked the John Deere Frontier, but it cost more. I picked this one up for $1000.

I hate to say it but the only time I use my Gannon roller box blade for what it was intended for is the scarifers [sp] for ripping up Aften. I have a hitch welded on it and chainsaw mounts along with it giving me 1000lbs of ballast but that is about all it is used for. CJ
