What does the transistor and Bell Labs have to do with my question?
Seems like you are trying to pull (crap) out of your azz.......

And actually as far as using fossel fuels to enable ME to create a net zero environment.... I do not intend to.
I think I am a little to old to do that, but my brainiac grandaughter might.

If you want to have a net zero impact on the environment, why dont you go live in a cave.
Otherwise, I dont wanna hear your bull, to be perfectly honest.
I am sure you will move to said cave just as soon as Gore n Obama does.

I brought up the transistor because you asked what energy systems created the new technology. It's an off shoot of the transistor.

I don't have to live in a cave I live in a house with net zero.

You don't want to hear what I have to say then don't ask me questions!

About 50 to 75 gallons a year of diesel, if that. It does all our organic gardens, the holes for my tracking poles, root cellars, snow plowing, etc. I'd say it's using fossil fuel to reduce our overall energy. The gardens feed many people and bringing that food to stores easily uses more fuel than the tractor uses in a year. I got the 3320 over a bigger tractor for fuel efficiency, nothing just gets purchased here without thinking about its overall effect.

Seems old Glenn was onto something.:D

Can we just put this man made global warming thing behind us? Man is not causing global warming and CO2 is not an issue. It may not even be warming, it may be cooling and it may have been cooling now for a long time now. As I first said in these threads there are only four factors in the earth warming and cooling. I will go over them again. Earth closer to sun = Earth Warming. Earth farther away from sun = Earth cooling. Sun puts out more energy = Earth Warming. Sun putting out less energy = Earth cooling. Anything else is a theory, or maybe better described as a story,

Tree-ring study proves that climate was WARMER in Roman and Medieval times than it is in the modern industrial age | Mail Online

The issue how to prepare for global cooling.

   / Global Warming? #1,572
I'd buy fur air conditioners, that way you're covered in either eventuality.

Crash 325 and others. Buy the A/c always can find somethiong to burn for heat.
I'm thinking all this Global Warming can be solved by going back to the age of no horses. There the cause of quicker tranportation the hauling of larger loads and then invention of the cart to carry even more things.
There would no need for power generation so no coal or oil needed .
Put sails on all ships and remove engine so more room to haul whatever needed to be hauled .
With out horses Gold in Calif. would still be in the ground for the future next Geneation to locate and use.
Coal only needed for a small fire place to huddle over for heat.
Just think of the days before news papers the world could still be argueing about Global Warming and wish it would soon take place.
Also Jim never yell carbon credits to this group.
Edison came close to the transistor developing the light bulb. but was talked out by a educated person.
Recycled comments with out real facts . Now talking politics.
And how is the Ariz. weather today.

Hi Ken,
Weather is real strange. Wind from every direction almost all at once. Got another one of those 12" inch rains. 30 Drops 12" apart.

History channel had a thing on this morning explaining how Global Warming is going to cause another Mini Ice Age. So I guess we all going to starve to death anyway. Or maybe become illegals going south into Mexico.

Think I'm having a hot Flash, time for another Beer. :cool2:

+ 1 for ROB-D (eHYDRO)...... he's talking the talk and walking the walk.....also knows what he's talking about...I admire his tenacity in continuing reasoned participation in this thread without calling any one names or using pejorative language. I like his style and understanding in steadily countering the nattering naysayers posting. Good job:drink:

Nattering Nabobs of Negativity
Versions of this old Spiro Agnew's quote have showed up all over this forum recently, must have been the catch phrase of the week in last month's Liberal Talking Points, & Other Ways To Counter Truth, magazine!
Strange they should want to quote the Vice President of Nixon and former Maryland Governor.

Of course having met Mr. Agnew on several occasions in Ocean City where he lived, he could have been a Democrat as well as Republican, he was a centrist in his personal beliefs and his main interest was Spiro Agnew much like our current president.

I think Rob has been shown to be a typical central control progressive liberal wanting to run every aspect of others lives. On top of that the man made global warm argument has been shown to be a hoax. Rob is just an old man dealing with what he thought was a slam dunk and internalizing the truth after a lifetime of being wrong.
