Hi all, after fighting for years with traditional PHDs, I've decided to upgrade to a hydraulic PHD that mounts to my loader bucket. It's a 50+hp Kubota with 2 open (available) remotes.

I've seen a lot of brands, but don't have a feel for the good and bad, low-end and high-end models. I've seen options from LandPride, WorkSaver, Danuser, etc. Largest bits I would drive would be about 10", mostly drive 6's and 8's.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Regards, TX

We offer both Danuser and McMillen hydraulic auger drives which are both high end models. To match the right one to your tractor, we will need to know the aux. hydraulic flow. You'll find the Danuser here and the McMillen here. The most popular(and best) shaft size is a 2" hex but if you already have augers that fit a 2" round shaft, they make adapters so you can still use them. We offer free shipping to a commercial business or supporting freight terminal within the CONTINENTAL USA on our McMillen and Danuser hydraulic auger drives. We have several in stock and if you're seriously looking, call us and we can give you a special deal on Danuser at present time.

Thanks, so it looks like if I budget around $2,500, I'm in the ballpark for a decent unit.

What is the actual mounting work needed for the side of a FEL bucket? Drilled and bolted? Welded on?

Thanks,
TX

Yea, if you budget around $2500 you're in the ballpark for an outstanding unit. I should've included the link here to the Danuser model 8300 hydraulic auger drive for loader bucket mounting. This model includes 20' hydraulic hoses so you can run it to your rear remotes, a 2" output shaft and also has a plate included so you can mount it to your bucket. I think that will be the best fit for you.
