Thanks for the explanation, clearance can be a problem allright that is why I have a 48" deck on my x749. The 749 works pretty well as a mini tractor and is great for getting under trees tilling, planing, seeding and rolling. Sure saves me alot of labor cost too, before wherever the larger tractors couldn't fit we did it by hand.

Improved traction on my old LX188 by installing the largest ATV tires that fit width and diameter. If aired up over 4 psi they rub on the mower deck.
Filled rear tires with washer fluid up to the valve stem when at the 12 o clock position. Installed valve cores and never even added air. Tires don't squat or squash very much.Foot print is huge, tractor rides smooth and doesn't mark the lawn.

I wish I could get a 48" deck for the 1026R, I would get one in a heartbeat. I could prob SQUEEZE...................into the lower area and be able to sell the D100. Oh well, last I checked the smallest I can get is the 54". If somebody knows any differently please let me know.

How did that affect your deck height? Were you able to adjust it to cut level?
