Welcome to the forum! You'll find a ton of information here on this forum. I joined about two months before I finally made my first tractor purchase, and this certainly helped me make my decisions.
I had looked at Kubota, Deere, Kioti / Bobcat, and Mahindra, and was just about to pull the trigger, as they say, on the Mahindra. I had several members mention the LS tractor, as one that I should look at.
I found a couple dealers within about 40 miles, and went and took a look. Was very impressed with what I saw, and what I got for the money. I ended up purchasing an R3039H, a little over a month ago, and so far have been very happy with my decision. I just hit the twenty hour mark today. Bought from a small country dealer that has been in the business for 50 years. Maybe Gary Fowler, or some of the other guys who have the larger LS tractors can chime in, and give you some insight.

I have a 4041 and have had other LS tractors (Montana) - they are good machines. Like all of them, take care of them and they will work just fine. Keep in mind I put maybe 250hrs a year on a machine.

I talked to an LS dealer last week. He was a former Montana (I believe LS tractors were previously badged as Montanas) and he tells me that parts are getting hard to find now for the Montanas. I wonder if anyone has heard that. That's my concern over buying an LS tractor. Will parts be available 15 years from now?

It's my understanding that LS said they would provide parts for their re-branded Montanas when they decided to sell under the LS name back in 2009. Also see this thread:

Unlike Montana, Farmtrac etc who go to a manufacturer of tractors and make a deal to buy a certain amount of tractors from them and sell them under a rebadge name, LS has been making tractors for years starting with a deal with New Holland using thier technology. Look up their history on their website. I dont think you will see them going anywhere with the LS brand. Many of the tractors made by Japanese companies for the big 3 USA brands were not able to get parts 10 years after selling because the Japanese company didnt make the tractor after their deals expired.
I would rather buy from a known company selling their own brand than buy a rebadged name like Montana, Farmtrac or even some of the New Holland, Case, etc who dont make their tractors but buy them from foreign suppliers. The foreign suppliers have no obligation to continue to make parts for a tractor that sold under NH or Case name when they have a falling out which happens regularly. For instance, how many times has New Holland switched manufacturers in the last 20 years?
I like my LS with only problem being in a wiring harness connection that works the gauges. It occassionallywill stop working when I hit a bump and then start back. I have been told that I can just put a ty-rap around the connections but I have just been too lazy to get out in the heat to do it.
I bought mine 2 years ago come Sept when the dealing was really good which is why I ended up with a 70 HP rather than 50 which I was shopping for. I got the 7010 for less than a MF 1652. My LS has not had to go back to the shop for any repair. My B-I_L's NH had to go back 3 times in the first year for replacing a broken hdropedal rod (crappy weld), Lower Cab glass exploded due to improper installation of cab, and AC compressor burned up. Even though the parts were warranted, the cost to transport back to the shop was at his expense@$200 per trip.
