1964 Ford 2000 LCG
Hey yall, I am from se arkansas and just got my first tractor. I have been around them my whole life but just got one i can call mine. Its a 1964 Ford 2000. We have 12 acres we are working on making a home out of and for two years we have been doing most of the work by hand and with help from a couple neighbors. So now that I have a tractor we will be able to really get something done hopefully. I have read a lot on this site about tractors and different models but i didnt have one so i havent posted anything but now i do and i will have some questions about mine. If i figure something out that will help someone else out i wont hesitate to post it. i welcome any comments or suggestions. Thanks for including me. Chris

Thank you. Well i have some questions already. I want to change all fluids and filters before i use this tractor. Im not sure how long they have been in it or whats in it. I dont have a manual or anything to help me so any help would be appreciated. It is a 1964 ford 2000 LCG. 4 cyl. gas burner. It has the 4F 1R transmission. I guess its called a 4 speed. It has a PTO and a two stage clutch. Im guessing it is 12 volt or has been recently converted. It has a new alternator on it and a 12V battery. I dont know if they came 12V or not. The only leak i see is on the left side by the parking brake lever. Its a real slow drip where an arm goes into the tractor. Not sure what it is. Well thanks in advance for any help. Chris

If you could send a PM (personal message) to Soundguy perhaps he could help on info on Fords. He has a lot of them that he has restored, and I bet he could help.
