The front porch

To those that were kind in trying to explain why these rules came about, thank you. To those who were not, I have thick skin and I thank you too.

Guessing my last post probably comes under your "thick skin" category, so sorry for that.... :welcome:

I know how mad I have felt at times when I have made what I feel to be a justified statement about the running of the site, only to hammered in return - and that is why I have changed my outlook to accept and embrace the fact that the site will be run how the owners see fit, and that on the whole it is a great community to be a part of...

For interest, my issue with TBN about a year back was that the European thread didn't work - now we don't even have one anymore! But I accept that given most users are US based, maybe there isn't the demand that I think there would be....

Anyway, welcome to TBN, congrats on getting to 50 posts so quickly - and how did you get into the front porch before getting to 50 posts????

A couple of guys asked me that. I don't know, the only thing I can think of is, I started the thread and it moved right away. Other than that I don't know.

Think of it this way.
1. You have a neighbor that has a different opinion but expresses his ideas in a halfway intelligent way that gets you to thinking.
2. A stranger at the street corner is yelling at you, calling you names because he assumes you don't agree with his point of view on a topic.

Which one would you avoid.

After one post for a while and adds to the general knowledge base of the tractor community one might act more like a neighbor and be accepted more like a neighbor than a paid troll from a political organization. I think that's the plan anyway..

TBN is all about useful information exchanged in a friendly manner.
Excellent post and point Don. May I steal this?
