Never mind, just re-read it. C&C must have gotten it earlier...

Huh. Is it a chassis cab? Do you live in Canada? Hows your mpg? Lot of opinions on def...

Yes, I ordered it as a cab-chassis, no bed. At the time at least, you could order a bare cab-chassis in three different frame lengths.
I live in Maine, maybe it's a Canada model truck?

I think it doesn't help the mileage, but considering the extra weight of the 12' bed and dump frame, plus wind drag of the rack sides, it doesn't seem much different than what the other posters here are getting.

I also wanted to add my last ram the 2010 was white and it did noticeably soot the fender. My 2012 ram is blue and I have not seen any soot on the fender. I don't know if this is because it is blue and soot would be more difficult to see or if they fixed the soot problem from 2010 to 2012.

My friend has a 2012, maybe its an 11 but its in the shop for a new trannu. He pulls a trailer with a bobcat tractor and brush hog. Not much more than that. He still likes it, better than the ford 350 he has also. His dealer was telling him they have seen some come in with same issue. Not sure how true that all is from dealer. But he still like his truck.

Where I work we use the 6.7 in our best selling machine, it is the off road ver with the Tier4i engine not the full on-road w def fluid. Runs great. ONE THING you must never let one get low on coolant as the #1/#6 will burn out the liners really quick... (had one happen when the machine went low and the low coolant sensor wasn;t working so eng didnt protect itself...)

I guess my truck didn't get the memo

I have a 2.5 gal. jug of Mopar Diesel Exhaust Fluid that I have poured into the truck's 8 gal DEF tank. Little blue filler cap just behind the cab on the driver's side. That's all I know about it. Maybe Cummins is rolling that out to different models in different years?

It does clean up the diesel smell of the exhaust by a good bit.

Why would you want to cover the smell of diesel exhaust? My '01 dodge smokes like a chimney. Everyone loves the smell of diesel!

Hah! A guy at work always lets me get in line in front of him at quitting time because he loves the smell of diesel exhaust! I've got an '05 Cummins that likes to give off the occasional puff of black smoke if I gun it a bit, and he gets disappointed if I don't give him a good whiff.

You should start developing diesel-scented candles, aerosols and such for the people who will need their whiff of the good old days. You could offer it "classic" and "low sulfur", or with "blow-by" or without. There is a market just waiting for a serious inventor to get in on the ground floor.

It's probably better to formulate non-carcinogenic versions of your product line.
