Click on the link in post #9 and look at the loader specs.

The angle on the cyl is changing also.

This is from the Kubota 3240 brochure.
Just noticed this; In the brochure it says that the specs. were taken from a L3540 @ 2560psi, and a L3940 @ 2630psi. When I look in my OM, system pressure is the same for these three models and listed as 2567 lbs for L3240, L3940 and L4240. I don't get it???

JJ I'm not sure what you want me to see in the spec. Please explain.:newhere:

The weight you can lift down low, is greater that the weight at max lift height.

That means that you sometimes can lift something, but not be able to lift it high.

The closer your lift point to the pins, the more weight you can lift.

You can lift more using a chain over the back of the bucket than the lip of the bucket.

I see. That is exactly what happened. I was able to lift about two feet then it just bypassed. Had I been able to shorten the chain the lift would have been lower, and would have had more power. Makes sense. Thank you.

I think the main reason they are telling you what tractor the specs are taken form in because of the lift height, the bigger tractors will lift higher.

I get that, it's the pressure difference that seems weird. The brochure lists different pressure for the different models. According to the OM they should be 2567 lbs.
