Tractor is less than a week old; under 10 hours.

Yesterday, I managed to tear off one of the ROPS mounted signal lights when I got too close to a tree. And I noticed after pulling her back into the shed when I was done that I'd gone the whole way, in reverse, with the parking brake still set.

Does that mean I am an official member of the club now? Or have I missed something?

Well, you still have to be voted in, but you have passed all the membership requirements:D

Tree limbs, sigh posts or anything in which you can get close are dangerous for the lights. Turn them inside by reversing them. They may need a little helping of an extension of the mounts. Not hit since.

Emergency brake on, yup! there sill be other incidents, but they are less frequent, so harder to remember.

:welcome:Hello from Arizona, what is it about the parking brake.....lights,bells,whistles yellow sticky notes and I still drive off with it ON!!!:D Maybe some day they will come up with a fool proof method for getting us tractor drivers to remember to release that brake! Good luck and enjoy the ride also do not forget the pictures.....need them to become a club member.

Bonus points for trying to move with the FEL still firmly planted on the ground.

Welcome aboard!

Here's a crazy thought: how about setting it up so the brake HOLDS IT STILL, so that it can't move when the brake is on?

Nah. That would never work! LOL...

I've tried it for years and no dice, especially in reverse. I hardly ever use the brake except when running and I have to get off the tractor.

works is in high range, but not in low on my BX24. my TG1860 has a mechanical lock than prevents the HST treadle from moving when the brake is set. I need to crawl under the BX to see if that idea can be implemented there.
