Kind of funny how you don't seem to forget to fold it up, but can't seem to remember to fold it down. LOL

Funny you mention that, I noticed today after putting my tractor back in the barn last week, I did not remember to put the ROPS back up. :confused3:

I've got an electric lift operator on my garage door. We are located in a remote area and have lots of critters roaming around. I keep a remote operator on my tractor and always close the door when I leave my pole shed. Not that I am worried about hitting the door.....but to prevent critters from getting into my shed when I am gone.

My point? Maybe keeping a door operator on your tractor would help you to close the door and jog your memory?? ;)

Maybe adding a mirror to the middle of the door so you can see the ROPS in the up position while you're waiting for the door to go up... ;)

Nope didn't work, the door is overhead with door opener, do carry remote control on tractor so don't have to get on/off the tractor to open/close the door. I'm going to close the door when exiting and use tennis ball as 2 reminders. :whistleblower:

Exactly what I've been doing and haven't had an accident since. :thumbsup:
However, one day it started pouring rain while mowing so I was in a big hurry to get in the building ----- got stopped just in time, couldn't get a cigarette paper between ROPS and door frame.

Okay hung a tennis ball (don't have basketball) on the door and also will close the door after exiting. With those 2 reminders, hopefully there wont be a 5th time! Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. :thumbsup:

I was thinking maybe one of those shock collars with the perimeter wire. Rig it so it turns on when you flip up the ROP. Make sure your far enough away when you put up the ROP My wife has suggested the shock collar to me more than once.

OK more seriously rig the tennis ball or a sign drops in front of the door when the door is up. I'd spray paint it bright red or orange.

Best wishes

LOL!

================

back in the old days, gas stations used to have a rubber hose stretched across the drive way. so as cars entered, it would let who ever know to come out, for "full service". the hose was rigged to some pressure sensor that would ring a bell.

i have gave up on any sort of wired or wireless motion detectors. and prefer a digital video / security setup. that has motion built into the digital video recorder. set it up to a security system. to have a bell go off at the garage door when anyone gets near the garage door.

i am also against using some sort of motion sensor, like for yard lights and like. way to easy to set them off. and known to fail at least with me within a couple years. :/
