How quickly it happens

As promised a bandage change picture

Next "fun" thing will be getting non-dissolving sutures out Thursday.

Try and find all 3...they will need to dig; not good!

What was it that slipped? I thought you said crowbar, but I'm thinkin it was "skillsaw".
I'm not a doctor but I wouldn't get in a hurry to have those stitches removed, looks like they could stay for another week.
Stick that thumb in a bottle of rubbing alcohol and tell me if that stings.
Percoset?
How about Old Grandad? 2 shots and a baseball game... you'll forget all about it.

Let me be a little clearer in my description of the mishap...

As I was removing the aluminum framed window insert from the concrete opening the crowbar slipped while I was applying all of my strength upwardly on the crowbar. As the crowbar lost its purchase point it accelerated exponentially and my thumb just happened to be in between it and the concrete corner to cushion the impact! The nail was instantly obliterated; the nailbed split in half in the process splitting the distal phalange causing massive bleeding and a thumb that bends upwards when upwards force was applied to it. Didn't hurt.

For those of you needing a picture (lol)

Now Dr. Said suture removal 7 days so will see what orthopedist says.

This has seriously sidelined ALL pre-winter "Honey-do" projects!

Pine Ridge;

That is the most depressing part... I cannot hold a cold beer or anything with it. And if I have a cold beer in my right hand it gets lonely as I usually double fist it when enjoying Libations...lol
