I'm looking to buy one tractor to replace several older machines. Wanting to be able to mow the lawn 3-5 acres depending on if I cut the drive with the yard. Tractor to pull my hay rake maintain driveway. Pull a 8ft pull behind disk. Looking at the 4720 with cab an loader an mid mount mower. Wat do y'all think? I'm keeping my large frame tractors to pull my round bale an 12ft disk. Just wanting to replace my worn out disks chopper and 2155 with one machine with a cab tractor.

if your land is open i would skip the mid mount mower in favor of a bushhog brand finish mower or other quality finish mower . the cut is just as nice and its way cheaper .

I agree with not using the Mid Mount Deck. I think 66 hp is a bit of a waste for a 72 inch deck. The 4720 is a fine tractor though.

I think a tractor setup for pulling an 8' disk might be tough to use on the lawn if it is smooth and finished. I use a 4520 cab with R4 tires occasionally on my lawn when dry but use the much lighter mowers the rest of the time. I would think Mobile can get very wet at times and a heavy tractor would make alot of ruts in the lawn.

There also is a tire issue here. R1s being best for plowing, turfs being best for mowing...
