Ford / Shibaura hydraulic pump hard to get !!

Have to admit that my Shibaura need a new pump! When I contacted the OEM supplier in Norway they did not have any. European Shibaura in Netherland sayed that the pump was no longer delivered from them. Some months ago I asked Messick's | Dealer for New Holland, Case IH, Kubota, Cub Cadet and More | Online Parts, Sales & Service. if they could deliver as a Ford part. Sorry, they could not.
So, I need a pump, Shibaura part #SBA340040130 or New Holland #83925215.

Here`s the parts catalog :1200 2 CYL COMPACT TRACTOR (1/79-12/82)

Anyone know where to get "the heart" in the hydraulic system ?

If the pump is hard to get I would look for a good mechanic that could possibly rebuild it...
If the parts to rebuild it are still available I would think that this would be the way to go...
I have never needed this type of work done but I am real fortunate in that we have a mechanic here that has been repairing and rebuilding tractors and farm machinery for over 40 years...
This guy is a guru and has his own machine shop and can make whatever he needs in order to do the repair if thie parts are not avaible...
Don't know how much longer he is going to continue in the business though as he is nearing retirement...

From the illustration it looks like a vane pump. Can you measure the distance between the mounting bolts, the diameter of the shaft, the thickness of the center section and also the diameter of the raised mounting boss?

We may be able to come up with a reasonable interchange. It may not have the correct ports, so you may have to mount the filter another way but that is better than no pump at all.

After some investigatione it appears that the 1640`s Hydraulic Pump & Piping is not like a Ford 1200, but an Ford 1300. Hydraulic Pump & Piping figures in Shibaura parts catalog and same figure in Ford 1300 parts catalog is 100 % the same. ,,,and price on the pump rised to amazing $ 1597.

I have a 3 hyd pumps on my Power-Trac. One of those pumps is for the loader and steering. It is a 3 GPM, 3000 psi pump, that runs off my fan belt.

You can do the same, or match up the bolt holes, the pump shaft type and size, etc to your old pump.

A PTO pump would work also if you did not need the PTO for other implements.

I have a 3 hyd pumps on my Power-Trac. One of those pumps is for the loader and steering. It is a 3 GPM, 3000 psi pump, that runs off my fan belt.

You can do the same, or match up the bolt holes, the pump shaft type and size, etc to your old pump.

A PTO pump would work also if you did not need the PTO for other implements.

JJ, can you post a picture of your auxiliary fan drive hydraulic pump, and possibly the part number for the pump you used?
I also have a 1200 with a weak / inoperable hydraulic pump and have been unable to find a replacment.

Where is your alternator / generator located? Left side, or is that it on the Top front. I'm not at my tractor's location at the moment and can't remember if the water pump is at the top or bottom.

I believe my pump is a 3 GPM pump.

Hei folkens ! Long time ,no see.
The current situation is as follows : My 16
40 hydraulic pump functions well and lifts ok. The tractor is passed on to my 15 year son,,,so its his problem if it occures again. He also has a 1952 Ferguson TEA20. I got myself an Ford 1920 last summer. Run 60 hours until now with no problem, 2060 total.
