gardening with poo?

Excellent timing,I for this thread. I just picked up a load of "Sheep Dip" to amend my garden soil. I was planning on letting it sit for a while, but I decided to mix it in right away as we are about to get hit with a large rain storm tonight. First time I used the manure spreader. All went well except that I realize now that I do need something other than turf tire for this operation.

That is the best way..........if ya let it sit, in a pile........the heat generated will burn up most weed seeds.

We don't have a garden but do have horses. I load horse manure for free for the folks that want it. They tell me that horse manure grows the best tomatoes and garlic. They say tomatoes and garlic that is grown with horse manure has a better flavor. The only downside that I am told is that horse manure has a lot of weed seeds in it. They say the flavor of the vegetables is so good that it makes it worthwhile to deal with the weed seeds from the horse manure.
