custom ballast box

Like everyone else, I like the idea of the incorporated ammo cans. I was thinking I'd like to have a few around my storage building to throw various things in. I looked on Government Liquidation's website, as there is an Army base about 25 minutes from me. They've got pallets and pallets of them right now. But that's a little much to have laying around.

I like it. I just hate the thought of spending $ on a box when I could use the cash on a blade or bush hog. I'd think this could be built cheap. How much did you spend, if you don't mind?

Tons of them on Ft. Drum, but they're being auctioned off in lots of 84 (2 pallets). I still might bid on some. If nothing else, maybe I could CL them for $10 a pop if the bid price was right. :moneybag:

I'd be interested in buying some from you, but I'm not sure if it would be cheaper to drive to your place to pick them up, or ship them.

We're located near Batavia in the lake plain.

What are they getting for the lot size you mentioned- it might be worth it for me to buy one myself.....

I also saw them for sale a couple months ago in a catalog like surplus center or something for $10 a shot. might beat messing with a whole bunch of them.

BTW- the 40mm ammo cans seem to be the best size for fabricators on TBN.

No we used ammo cans because they are weather Tite.
