How would I plumb that? My power beyond port is already used ,If i can do what your suggesting that would be great.Sounds like the same kind of valve JJ recomended .
With not being sure how these electric valves work Im lost . Is it as easy is just installing it into my curl circut and that circut still works untill the selinoid is activated ? and if so do you have control of how much force you apply or is it all on or off ? I know im an idiot when it comes to ? HYD circuts.
Galen walked me threw my back hoe install ,lol if it hadnt been for him I think I would still be scratching my head .
Thanks Dan.S

Dan, check out my post in hydraulic forum titled"add two remotes". It has several pics and a long write up. Good luck

I would mount the valve on the inside of the loader pedestal, plug some new short hoses from the curl circuit to the valve. Those will operate the curl function same as what you have. Run new hoses from the diverter to the front of the loader for your grapple. When you push the button to activate the diverter, the solenoid shifts and you now have control of the grapple with the same amount of control that you have with the curl function. Slow to fast and anything in between, THAT is why a diverter valve is better IMO.

I have what I call a starter diverter kit. It is the diverter, all the wiring and switch and some valve fittings for $335 + shipping. Once you get this mounted, get the short hoses that go down to the loader QDs on the tractor and some longer ones to the front of the loader. Those along with some more QDS and you are all set.

Hey thanks guys! I think I understand it now, With this valve your loader valve still operates the same just with an added function depending on which way the valve is switched . Now I just need to finish the grapple and get the valve on its way ,Ill let you know how it works out .
Thanks again for your time .

You can use the items in my above link or MtnViewRanch diverter kit.

Once connected correctly, the default mode is normal curl mode.

When you apply 12v using a joystick switch, the circuit switches to the grapple circuit.

If your loader valve has regen, stay out of regen using grapple.

If that is a problem, there are alternate ways to operate a grapple.

JJ I have read your post for long time and you know your hydraulics. I have next to no knowledge of hydraulics. Would you mind explaining regen?

Regen is where the fluid is blocked from the return outlet, and the fluid is then used to combine with the pump fluid and about double the GPM for the cyl.

It is sometime called fast dump if used in the curl circuit.

Some valves have it and others don't.

Sometimes the regen is in the first part of the lever action on the valve, and in other valves it is at the end or past the soft stop on the spool.

Although you have more GPM's, you also have less pressure.

It is mainly used to increase speed or operation.
