Good Morning fellow board members.
I was extremely pleased to see new
use method for large rotary snow plows
last night during the NBC Nightly News.
Sadly I do not remember the name of the
female reporter who was riding along with
the United States Coast Guard search and rescue crew
who reported the story on a tape delay-Ju Ju Chang?
But they were showing a daylight film of the three airports
in New York City and she was talking about how much water
was covering La Guardia Airport?.
When they flew over a low spot where the water was very
deep next to a drainage canal/snow dump area low and behold- insert drum roll here:
The airport manager had three of the airports rotary snow plows parked in
the low spot next to the drainage canal/snow dump they were all cranked
up to high idle and The Power Take Offs were engaged and they were pumping
water in three solid streams like it was nobodys business getting rid of it
efficiently without renting pumps.
Nothing like american ingenuity to solve a vexing problem on short notice.
I give much credit to the staff of the airport as they have obviously done this
before and or knew that a snow blower impeller would also pump water efficiently.
