Leaking 3 point lift arm.

My Left lift arm on the 3 point has sprung a leak, doesnt help when i put the tractor on its side!! it now only leaks slightly after using it again after uprighting it( after an initial oil flood!). looking at the parts breakdown it has an outer O ring #47, a sleeve #4, a spline seal #46 and a spline sleeve #45. it has considerable movement in it on the left only,not the right. has it damaged one of these sleeves? i may have to pull it down to see what has gone wrong causing this movement and leak.

i dont think they should be terribly complicated once you tear into it. Id replace as much of the wear parts as i could once in there.

If i remember right you recently purchased it, did you get a 30 or 90 or 6 month part warrenty? The dealer may supply the parts if you give him the old ones, just a thought.

I am seeing some oil weeping out of the housing on both of my 3 point arms on my 2210BD. It sounds like the parts breakdown is pretty similar based on what I see in my parts manual. If Neat 1500 is still on the forum, how did your repair go and what parts did it take? Any tips or tricks on what to look for? I don't want to tear mine down too far without the required parts on hand.

Hey Steve, i never ended up fixing it. it basically stopped leaking a while later, it is wet around the arm but doesnt leak. it still has the slight movement in it but does not seem to have affected its operation either.

Butting in as normal. Minimal parts you will need 2 ea of this splined seal. 194150-44261 Yanmar Tractor Parts: SPLINED SHAFT SEAL_ 4 ea of this o-ring. 24321-000500 Yanmar Tractor Parts: O-RING Are you having any leakdown on your 3 point?

Thanks for the response 1500 and"butting in" with helpful info winston! I'm not having any leakdown but I have a ROPS coming this weekend and wanted to clean up and paint before I bolted it on. That's when I noticed the weeping. Hoye didn't have these parts listed for my 2210, I'll send them an e-mail to see if they will fit.
I think I'll give it a cleanup and check the arms for slop etc, then plan to put the ROPS on. Another post mentioned the breather possibly being plugged. I'll check that out as well and I can always repair it later if it continues to leak.

A little leak there probably isn't going to hurt much. Those part numbers came out of a 2210 parts manual. You can insert them using the search feature on Hoyes parts sight.

I hadn't tried the PN search. I just tried the 2210 parts dropdown which didn't have a breakdown for the 3 point. I wasn't aware the 1600 had common parts in that area. Hoye also responded with the same PNs. Gotta love the customer service. I'll check it out this weekend and see if it warrants tearing into.
