$200 Pocket Pistol

Gator6X4....Looks pretty darn big to be considered a "pocket pistol" and I have never heard of the brand before...

I thought it was a butchered attempt at spelling Winchester.:D I have never heard of them before either.:confused3:

My wife has the S&W Bodyguard 380 with the integrated laser. Nice little piece and has performed flawless at the range. Look on Armslist too, sometimes there's great deals on used iron. I currently carry the S&W Bodyguard 38 special. Very light and also has integrated laser. I'm saving up for the Kimber Ultra RCP2. Sweet gun and imo the ultimate compact carry. Nothing beats a .45!

I have the S&W bodyguard 38 with laser too. I'm having a very difficult time finding a holster for it. What holster do you carry and where did you find it?

Edit: to be slightly on topic....it isn't a $200 pocket gun. It's more like a $400 pocket gun. I found one used that didn't have a mark on it, so instead of paying almost $500, I bought ammo with the $100 I saved. Like any gun with a 2" barrel, it does take some practice to hit anything. And you aren't going to hit anything at 20 yards with it either.

You might be surprised, our qualification course was from three yards to 25 yards and we had Officers who could shoot really good groups with these little guns, I unfortunately was not one of them. I could hit the target, but it sure wasn't anything about which to brag.

I've heard of people that can hit at 20 yards with a 2" barrel, but I've never seen it happen so I'll take your word for it. Curiosity led me to try that distance, but I didn't even hit paper at 20 yards with it. I'm pretty good at < 10ish yards, but could use some more practice.

I can hit the target and maybe even get in one of the rings, but it's takes some serious aiming.

But at 5-10 feet (which is what I practice at), it's fine. I practice point shooting since that's probably what I'd do in a situation.

I've seen several people do it during our qualifications, but most were like me, we could get on the paper, but not much else. Our 25 yard course, if I remember correctly was 15 rounds in two minutes; seems like a lot of time until you do it.

One of my Officers was complaining about her gun a S&W 649 being "off", so I took it home and shot it from a rest. It was dead on and I got good groups at 25 yards, but it was not time and from a rest. I am not a really good shot, so pretty much all my guns will outshoot my skill level.

The dealer threw in a used leather holster with purchase, don't know the brand. Works fine as should any small frame revolver holster. Yes this is not a $200 pocket pistol and neither is the 380 but who would carry a $200 pos for personal defense? You get what you pay for. Not hit anything at 20 yards? It's absolutely possible especially with a properly adjusted laser and plenty of practice at the range.

Bob Munden shot a 6" ballon at 300 yards with a snub nose pistol on his second shot.
