Tractor
Kioti DK50SE w/ loader and Woods 90x backhoe, Allis Chalmers C with front snowplow
I got my tractor in May and have finally rolled the 50 hour mark the majority of that time on the Woods 90x backhoe and I am happy to say I haven't had one problem with the rig yet. At least nothing warranty wise, however I did pull a moron move today, while trying to roll a very large stump away which I had previously dug out with the hoe I rode up on a high spot and the bucket slipped off the stump allowing it to roll back into the tractor, the grill guard looks nice, but sadly is of little use in this situation, I heard a crunch and hopped off the tractor to find the grille guard smashed back into the cowling around the headlight, a slight bend in the front edge of the hood and the grille is tweaked slightly, oh well live and learn. After bending the guard out far enough for the hood to open properly again I will buy a new cowling when I have some spare cash then I will take that wimpy grille guard off and build one worth bolting on a tractor!

Same thing happened to me had to use logging chain and use the bucket to pull it out. Then had to hammer the dent out of the hood. As my grandfather would say it's a tractor thats what there for if they look pretty then your not using
it if you want it to show off leave in the garage.

I was thinking I could do that too, use a chain to the bucket, or I was gonna try chaining it to a tree and pullin on it. Hood didn"t dent too badly it just got the right edge a little and cracked the paint but it's fixable, just enuf to make me blurt out a good string of words that shouldn't be used on a forum such as this and I imagine that headlight piece will cost a few bucks.

Blu, sounds like you need a grapple for what you are using your tractor for. I actually had the bucket on mine for the first time in months this weekend moving dirt. I would say the grapple is on 80% of the time. Anyway where did you get your mount for the backhoe, is it a woods? And do you think the hoe would clear a cab tractor? If it makes you feel any better I had a log roll off a pile of wood and bend my cowling in at about 20 hours!! Not fun. I will build a complete guard system this winter for the front of the tractor. I have a Woods hoe and ordered it with the subframe from woods for my tractor, I have the DK50SE hydro, it bolted right on, I thought there may have been some problem if you had the DK50SE with a cab but don't quote me on that, I got mine through Rosseel's it's in lower Michigan, they sell online through ebay alot, you could give them a call and see what they say about a frame for your rig. A grapple would be nice but I don't have the money in the budget for that stuff right now, it wouldn't have helped in this situation anyways, the stump I was trying to move was huge and I was trying to roll it out of the hole as my loader wouldn't lift it, even with a grapple I still couldn't lift the dang thing.

Did you ever figure anything out on that backhoe frame?

Naw I have been slacking, actually been working on modding my grapple, tire chains and the purchase of my snow pusher. The backhoe prodject is next during this winter. CJ
