Colorado.. Looking at my good ol weather station at the house to refresh my memory... we hit -27 which resulted in -45 with wind chill.

You must be in the Gunnison area, San Luis Valley, Fraser Valley, or the Meeker area to get temps that low. Wind chill is how it feels to exposed skin and has some sort of mathematical formula to calculate it; you need to base everything on the direct air temperature.

for the tranny go get the magnetic block heater snap it on your good to go there are heaters that go on with adhesive makes them permanent 4x4 inch but costly ..they look like a hot pad

During the summer one year while in High School I got a job at a very large grower of landscape shrubbery. One morning the supervisor took me to the equipment shed and said drive this out to, named a large field and do this and that.

Not being familiar with such a large piece of equipment I started asking question. He became agitated and promptly informed me, “Son I didn’t ask you to engineer, design or build the thing I just want you to drive it”. I occasionally think of this and still laugh.
