Yes, I did change the fuel filter after it would not start, thought it might be clogged or maybe have condensation because of the cold weather, but anyway cracked the fuel intake nut to each cylinder, one at a time and cranked until just fuel came out no bubbles , the girl fired up and running again. Just wanted to share something I learned with you folks.

Glad it's running again.

The question still remains. And this kind of problem tends to return at a later date. Fuel pump relay, fuel pump, their associated wiring, and connectors are where I would start if it happens again.

So much for those who have said you don't have to bleed these. I have never had the occasion to find out. But, on my fairway mower it is difficult to get all the air completely out of the fuel system.

Glad to hear it's running, thanks for the update & diagnosis/fix.

btw, running these things out of fuel isn't an issue. Just fill them back up, let the pump run for a minute, should fire right up. :)

Hi, I'm not an expert, but I just want to say if it could be that rayban1 would forget to put diesel in the fuel filter before doing the startup tests?

Either that, or perhaps he did not know better.

Did you see the date of the last post?

This thread is from 6 years ago.

yes of course I went to answer to have the following of his problem I thought that even if the year was far away someone would have answered like you and would have told me the end of this post, I managed to know alone how to end my break, the answer to the question is to put antifreeze to clean the water or the ice that prevents the diesel to make its way to the injector.
