Gas prices again, What's the price in your area for unleaded? What's happening?

Gas is up today. It's now $3.10 at the Citgo in Ladysmith, VA, and $3.09 at the Caroline Grocery Store about five miles away. I paid $2.99 at the Caroline Grocery on Wednesday afternoon, so prices spiked about $0.10.

The Coastal on RTE 1 just a bit south of the Citgo is still at $2.99 (for the moment)... everyone in Thornburg jacked the prices starting yesterday. Must need to gouge holiday travelers... it was nice for a couple days...

If I had a Prius with that kind of mileage I wouldn't have to fill up but every 4-5 months.
It took me 1-1/2 years to put 2000 miles on my truck last oil change.
2 years the oil change before that.

I think the Truck Stops at exit 104 should be the BEST bet, but Coastal will be $3.09 by tomorrow if not later today... They have been $0.01 below Citgo for MONTHS...

I'll be in your area Christmas Day, the In-Laws are in Mechanicsville near the TSC & the HS.

Hi! I paid 1.33 a liter or (1.33x3.68) 4.89 US gal. Here in Quebec we have some record. Diesel is 1.35 a liter near 5.00 Us gal Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year. Oldmech

Around here the local Wawausually has the lowest price.
Today they were 3.179 for reg, 3.279 for med grade, and 3.379 for premium. This stire doesn't carry diesel but some of their stores do, and where they do they are not the cheapest, usually 5 cents over the average. I get my diesel athe local independant truck stop which is usually the lowest for diesel and has a high volume. They were 3.739 today, 40 cents over premium. Just a few months agodiesel was about 10 cents less than premium.

Normally in the fall gas prices drop because the demand during winter is lower than the summer. OTOH diesel increases due to the fact that heating oil is in demand. It's always been best to buy heating oil in the late spring when fears of a cold snap have passed.
