Take it to them. Soon it will need to be tube fed rather than bottle as that does not work well for long.Tube feeding is easy once you know how but need catheter tube etc . And handling a wild animal is dangerous. You never know which one has rabies in its blood or a number of other diseases .
There was a man who raised a raccoon for months before the man came down with rabies. It can stay dormant in some cases. But for the animal's sake, take it in. They will know what it is when they see it.
I came across a pup in the woods on the Hatfield mcCoy trails. It would not touch any human food I had with me. But was big enough it should have. It had strange eyes and I realized it was a Coydog. I left it so its mother would come out of the woods. Your poor little fella was probably dropped when they burned that area. Mom probably carried away all she could. Sad.
Hey John they posted a picture of Sandy today on their facebook post, she looks really good and seems adjusted well to her surroundings. You and your wife should be Proud, she has come a long way from that cold, wet, starving bundle you saved.:thumbsup:
