955 deere tractor with 300 x loader

have a deere 955 tractor with a 300 x loader. float position on the scv will not work ? just put sno blade on and loader arms will not float ?
Bought this tractor in spring.nice shape low hours on it. is scv float adjustable ?
would defective couper connections affect the float part ? hydraulics seem to have good pressure etc. 3 point works fine.

Does raising and lowering the lift arms work normal ?

Try this. Raise the lift arms about half way, then tilt the bucket down, and then lower the lift arms so the wheels are off the ground.

Then, push the lever to full fwd past the soft stop.

If none of that worked, remove the bottom cap from the float spool on the loader valve, inspect and clean.

There are balls and springs on the end of the spool under the cap. Clean the detent groove.

Float is not adjustable.

Float means all ports on the float spool are open to tank, and the bucket will follow the ground contour.

JJ: The lift arms work fine lowering and raising. I will try what you recommended this afternoon before the 20 " of snow gets here.
