Sorry but that is a load of crap. Only gun nuts think they can control the government with their pop gun weapons. All BS and bluster.
Apparently you missed the Viet Nam war...a bunch of NVA soldiers armed with (basically) obsolete firearms and a lot of dedication kicked our asses.
Considering a large percentage of the U.S. military (I'm guessing, but probably at least 50%) would desert...it's a doable thing to replace the government.
Now, the downside...I doubt democracy would survive, no matter which side won.
I do see...my opinion...that this country is too polarized to survive as one nation...and I do not see that getting better.
