I would really like to be able to use a hydraulic top link on my tc33d. Unfortunately, this little tractor doesn't have any remotes. It's a '99 model but only has about 1000 hours, but I don't want to spend a fortune doing this. Can anybody suggest what I can do. Is there an electric model that would not require hydraulics?? I do not have a loader. Thanks

Tractor help has the single and the dual remote kits from New Holland.
Accessories - TC33D - TC33 - TC Series - New Holland
I've got the dual kit on my DX33 (basically a red TC33DA) and I absolutely love them. The first set is for the power angle on my snowplow that I adapted to my loader. The adjustable top link is coming as soon as some of the holiday bills are paid for haha

It's a nice setup also because it puts the levers for the remotes right next to the 3-point lever. Everything is at your fingertips. It was pricey, but well worth it by the time it was done.

I really hate to spend that much money on a 13 year old tractor. Is there any kind of small electric motor top link that would be less??

You know, it's really nearly impossible for us to make suggestions without knowing what you would consider spending. Please give us a maximum amount and we can make suggestions based on that. If you want an electric actuator or electro-hydraulic actuator, expect to pay $400 to $600 and then have to adapt it to your tractor and wire the electrical dual direction controller. The cheapest solution is a DIY hydraulic system built like the one J_J suggested in the other thread, but you would be responsible for everything. The easier the solution, the more it costs. That's just a fact of life.

Now, if you just want a cheap hydraulic system that will run a toplink cylinder, you might consider one of these power packs. It will provide plenty of power for one cylinder and you can mount it on your fender or behind your seat and run hoses to the back. That way, you won't interfere with your tractor's hydraulics. The power pack can be used for anything if you install quick connects at it's outlets. The 3-quart reservoir will provide plenty of fluid for any hydraulic cylinder.

On 2nd thought, this power pack is cheaper and will do a toplink just fine. Use the 2000 psi side for retract and the 800 psi side for extend on your toplink cylinder.

Thanks Jinman.....The second suggestion above may be my answer. I have also looked at the hydraulink.....any thoughts on that apparatus?? Thank you.

No matter how much they try to say differently, the Hydraulink is NOT a hydraulic toplink. It's a mechanical manual toplink. It provides very little improvement over the standard toplink and is spongy to boot. If you mount a DC power pack somewhere on your tractor, you can buy a real hydraulic toplink for around $225 with hoses. You'll have about $550 invested by the time you get this all done, but you'll have the advantage of a power pack that can be used for anything that requires low flow. These power packs are what are used on dump trailers to lift the dump bed. They are pretty darn big and require a lot of current to run. I run mine sometimes with one of those booster batteries they sell with an air compressor on them. Get a toplink with double pilot-operated check valve and it's a set and forget thing. You'll only have to run the power pack when you want to change it.

Understand that this is not the elegant solution, but it is about 1/2 the price of a factory remote. I'm suggesting this only because you asked for a suggestion and this is the only satisfactory alternative that I know of. It's not the best, but will work.
