kubota electrical connectors

I had problems with that same shape plug on my RTV. I had a thread around here somewhere... I think the thread was called "RTV Alternator Plug".

Cut them off. Either solder the lights in permanently or replace with either insulated blade or bullet connectors. Weatherpack connectors if you want to go all out and get the best.

I just installed led lights on my 5240 and ZD326 this past week. Just use male spade connectors and insert them in the connector. Works like a charm. The yellow wire on the green connector is the hot wire and the black is ground.

Like to thank everybody for their input. I was just about to go to my local pick your part auto recycler to see if I could scrounge a few of these connectors from an old Toyota or possibly even order from the link provided. But it seems when I phoned the original dealer he told me that I could only buy the entire worklight which plugs into those connectors. Since I want to install a light bar instead, rated at 72 W, I only wanted the connectors and he says you cannot buy them separately. What I just found another dealership in the area and he's telling me that the wiring harness is sold separately. I ordered the wiring harness with the wire and then I'm just going to splice into those wires. I do not mind splicing into the harness as it's very easily replaceable. I just don't like splicing into the original tractor wiring as it is much harder to replace. It's definitely not the cheapest solution, but it will work for me to my satisfaction. The dealer actually sold the worklight for less than just a light bar alone. But I do not think these worklight can provide the illumination that I can get from this light bar. The light bar I ordered is of the flood type facing the rear of the tractor for snow removal on my backward facing snowblower as well as attaching implements at night. I don't need the range, I just need areawide illumination.
I was unable to find any sort of markings on those connectors from every single angle.

At $27 it's not the cheapest solution, but it is a satisfactory solution. I wished all tractors had a standard connectors. The original dealership only sold entire lights, or at least he was trying to sell me the entire kit.

Marcin,

Thanks for letting the community know your final resolution and I can appreciate your desire to find the connector. It's kind of silly Kubota and it's parts network isn't willing to sell a simple connector.

What is the p/n for the wire harness you purchased?

Why are you paying $27 dollars for a harness when all you have to have is 2 male spade connectors for $.02. Run a hot and ground from your green connector to a switch and from switch to your lights.

I wished all tractors had a standard connectors.

I spent over 30 years in the auto body repair business. There is no such thing as a "standard connector".

Most manufacturers have their own. And it's very common for them to use several different connectors in the same harness.

They are often not even interchangeable from different model vehicles, of the same manufacturer, or from year to year.

The fact that you can easily plug spade lugs to those, is a about as good as it gets. Many connectors can't be used at all, without the proper mating connector.
