I put this together so I could plink and dispatch undesirable critters without disturbing the neighbors. This piece that fits on the end inside the shroud will hopefully be transferred this month.

Nice gun, fortunately my nearest neighbor is a quarter of a mile away; would like to have one though.

Try sub-sonic .22 ammo,as quiet as a pellet gun.

I have 5000 rounds of standard velocity CCI just for this gun.

Depending on barrel length you may still get the supersonic crack with standard velocity ammo. Not a problem with pistols, but on my Ruger the suppressor works great with Remington Subsonic.

Looks like that will make less noise to alert the varmints as well. By "Varmints" I mean all varieties of them too ;) :D

Yeah, I have friends that have shotguns for home defense. I have discharged a firearm in an enclosed room. You won't want to do it twice.

If your contraption could be considered a silencer be careful - while they are legal in many states you have to jump through specific regulatory hoops to have one (and of course, pay the requisite fees...)

Yep...and it is a federal offense if it isn't registered.

There has been a movement to have silencers removed from the NFA of 1934. Silencers are a great safety device (reduced or eliminated hearing damage) and, IIRC, are sold openly in some countries (Finland is one I recall).
However, that is not currently the case in the US, so I suggest the OP at least ensures his firearm and silencing device is legal.

I'm going to guess Dan knows what he's talking about, settle down overly safety dudes.
