At work, we use WeldMark anti spatter, I am not very crazy about it.
Do any of yous use any, or do you just clean the welds more with a
grinder?

If I'm worried about appearance I use it. I didn't like the water base formula that I used. If appearance doesn't matter I use a chisel and knock off what I can. Hate it when the stuff causes porosity!

I was thinking that I can just sand a little more with my 36 grit sanding disk
on my 4.1/2 inch angle grinder.
It's not that I'm in a big hurry to get a project done.

I use mostly pulse so I have no spatter but I have used it in the past more for a protectant of the base metal than anything else. Half of the people use it for that and the other half use it so the spatter turns to Mud on the nozzle instead of it sticking and turning to rock hard slag. Anti Spatter is not created equal. Some is crap and some is very good. Some is water based and some is oil based. I have sold many drums of the stuff so there are believers out there. Personally, I don't care for it.

Weld Mark is a Buyers Group. Everything they have is made by someone else and is private labeled for them. The stuff could be and often is different at any givin time. Who ever wins the bid gets the label.

I'm going in the morning to get a can of Harris anti spatter.
It was 8 bucks for a can, it better be a gold plated can for that price. LOL

I too use 36-grit sanding pads for all clean up. I have a can of anti-spatter, but I'll bet it is over 10-years old, I never use the stuff. I do use nozzle / cup dip if I'm using the wire feed a lot! Normally all I do is clean the cup / nozzle out really good after it's hot, and dip it in the cup / nozzle dip, and sling out the excess.

2nd on the nozzle dip. It's a must! Don't bother with spray for to protect the nozzle.
