JD 2520
I'm looking for a supplier, other than JD, for front wheel spacers. Not fond of JD prices. I've contacted a few of the wheel suppliers mentioned on this board but they do not offer front wheel spacers for the 2520 tractor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you already reversed the rims?

Do you know the bolt pattern and size? Try automotive suppliers. I might be a whole cheaper. Possibly tire rack or discounttire or againa local speed shop.

I know what your talking about JD prices. Last year I replaced the block heater in my 2320. Jd price 125ish I paid 30 from UAP NAPA after a member here pointed me in the right direction. Even had the same part numbers!:D

To be fair, that $125 was almost certainly the installed price.

But back to the wheel spacer. I added a pair of 4" rear spacers to the rears, but got enough up front by simply reversing rims. What do you intend to accomplish by widening the front track beyond that which can be achieved by reversing the rims?

For your info, JD doesn't sell spacers for anything smaller than the 4x20 series. So aftermarket is your only choice anyway

Not so. JD makes them for the 2x20's. The part number is LVU12475. I doubt that price included installation. This past fall I bought a set for my 2720 (same as 2520) and even mail-order they were around $110 each. Add another $32 for a set of longer lug bolts.

They are hub-centric so the fit needs to be perfect.

The rear rims have two positions but I do not think the front rims can be reversed. And looking at mine, the center mount looks perfectly centered such that nothing would be gained. You need front spacers in order to run chains on the front wheels. In fact, accomidating front chains is the reason why JD offers them. Otherwise even a lightweight chain will hit the tie-rod ends. Why they didn't simply design the wheel with an extra 1" of clearance is beyond me. But then again, they wouldn't have been able to sucker us into another $250 of parts. :)

Have you tried the following link? Christian (the owner) of The Tracks Company was quite helpful and I thought his prices were good. You can find him on eBay but the prices are a little higher there. Two years ago I bought rear spacers for my 2305 from him and they have worked well.

Those look interesting but I think I would prefer a solid spacer.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm considering chains for front wheels and there is inadequate clearance (wheel to tie-rod) with the standard JD factory configuration.

Just a few points -

1) Due to the rim design, the front wheels of the 2520 cannot be reversed or flipped. So this option is out. The rear wheels can be flipped for a wider stance without issues.

2) JD is asking $250+ for the spacers (JD LVU12475) and extended lugs. I'll check with christianhan but I'd be surprised if he can custom manufacture a set of spacers for less the $250.

3) Last resort, is to make my own spacers..... a strong consideration.
