Ok. I'm bit. Still didn't find it. How about a pict showing where it is.

Wow, that's some serious camouflage. I have walked right over black snakes in the woods and they are easy to see. Thankfully they are not aggressive or poisonous. This one would have got me. Scary.

Whenever I see things like this I always wonder what we as humans foster as "camouflage clothing" Nothing on this snake looks like a leaf but us in our endeavor to be as concealed as possible buy cloths with all kinds of vegetation pictures on them. Deer do not have any pictures of twigs and branches on them and yet they can be a b-itch to see in dense woods. Makes me think the best camouflage for hunting is a deer skin jacket just like Davy Crocket used to wear. Of course there are the people who shoot before identifying the target and now we all get to wear "orange" camoflage. I wonder if the Davy Crocket Disney movies with Fess Parker had him wear orange back in the 50's what we would have said then. He probably would have been killed in the first minute at the Alamo wearing that jacket.

Interesting that just a few minutes ago I was watching 3 deer about 75 foot away from my chair here. they are in the woods across the road, and with all the brown leaf background and tree trunks the darn things blend in so well they are nearly invisible when they are standing still, you pick them up with your eye when they move. Yes their camo sure works!

Best camo I "haven't" seen, has to be what Bigfoot uses:D

I see it, but if it was a snake it would have bit me. :)

Thank you for a VERY good post on peripheral awareness, excellent. I too would have missed it not having any poisonous snakes in my region to look out for.
