Well it wasn't quite a restoration. I bought the cart from a neighbor for $20. The id tag has the # 813. The box and tailgate were in terrible shape. The previous owner welded some 3/8" flat stock at the rear of the bed to try to hold it together. I discarded the box, tailgate and tires and salvaged the rest. I made a new box frame out of scrapped bed frame angle. A new tailgate that will be a slider. I made a new dump latch pin out of 1/2" key stock, the old one was pretty pitted and rusty. I also welded in some pieces of 1" pipe to the pieces that support the axle. These support pieces were wearing notches into the axle. I put grease fittings into the pieces of pipe. Sorry, I didn't take any pics during fabrication of new pieces. Here is what I have done so far. I plan on completing it tomorrow night. I'll post more pics when it is done.
