Feral Dogs are as bad as cats say biologists.

I have seen a number of dogs roaming in my area (semi-rural) that I didn't recognize but they are always one or two at the most, so I wouldn't call them a pack and how do I know they are feral? As far as feral cats go, I have sheltered and fed a number of barn cats but they gradually disappear and I have no idea as to what happens to them. BTW, I personally feel the hype about feral cats is WAYYYYY overblown, who really cares if they catch birds? I personally don't give a (bleep) as I have no use for birds, they raid my garden and berry patch and s*** on things.

Living rural, we rarely see stray dogs like I do down south at my dads in Arkansas. Years ago we used to have "Coydogs" and could here them running deer at night, I only saw them a few times and they where big and a cross with domestic and what we thought where coyotes, but there where none around at that time...perhaps 35 years ago or more.
I must say, if you like to shoot dogs for no reason other than the belief they are strays, better check around first. Many times I walk my dog without a leash on property I have permission to be on, however there are times when hunters also may be there, hunting chucks or crows, I will let him run out front of me 50-75 feet or so under visual supervision in nearby fields, to let off some steam and get some exercise, particularly since I'm not 18 any more. He wears a collar at all times and does not run animals, I also carry a firearm during those times in the event I need to dispatch any threats, rabies have always been an issue around here. During small game I put a hunter orange jacket on him, I do agree if your live stock has been harmed and a threat is still posed, then dispatching is the only alternative.

The only kria I'm aware of is the Arctic tern...

A "cria" is a baby Llama,or alpaca.

I see, I was honestly curious, I didn't know what it was. I tried googling "kria" but it didn't yeild much result. That makes sense, I could see a pack of rotweilers going after a llama. I'd have shot them too if they killed my livestock, or my pet.

Dogs running loose, especially during the big game season don't last long.I haven't seen "packs" of dogs but a beagle and any other large breed are death to the deer in the area.If we see dogs running deer and can find the owners we tell them the situation;they don't get a second chance.
