6.0 Powerstroke letter

I contacted a lawyer before I got the letter. Had an 06. Replaced the turbo and egr at 70000 miles. Ford offered 500.00 as a settlement. I held out for a whopping 750.00. A far cry from the 2500.00 it took to replace the turbo. Screw ford. They should be ashamed of themselves for the 6.0. I went to the dealer and they offered 14,000.00 trade in. I went to dodge and they gave me 18,000.00. Friggin ford piece of garbage. Never again. Contact the lawyer and get to ford like they got to you. Most important is never buy a ford again

And good luck selling it. I had it on Craigslist for a month and never got one call. Ford piece of garbage

Also if your 6 leaker was fleet purchased like the 40+ 6.0l trucks we had, your not entitled to any retribution. Thanks Ford, another reason the blue oval will never be in my driveway...

I figured this thread would deteriorate into a bash. News flash: they've all made a lemon here & there and most everyone has had a not so pleasant experience with one manufacturer or another.

Not my intention. Just found it odd this letter hit my mailbox 6 years since the last 6.0 was made. Both of mine were trouble free.

What really frosted my keyster was they offered me 14,000 for my truck and they had one with more miles on it in their lot for 25,000. Why does a ford dealer continue to sell this garbage? And lowballing me just pissed me off even more.

Got the letter. Had an '03 6.0L, but sold it a long time ago for fear I would be paying huge repair bills after warranty. The truck was nice but didn't seem like a smart one to keep.

It had the turbo replaced under warranty, also all new ball joints under warranty. I didn't pay anything for those repairs under the original new vehicle warranty, and I was the second owner. I was surprised that according to the letter, some people were charged a deductible. As usual, the lawyer gets the moolah, $12.8M plus expenses.

I got the letter too, so far I think my only out of pocket expense has been one egr valve. Other things were covered by warranty.
