Houseboat rentals Ky lake area??

Have rented houseboat on lake Powell. We had a ski boat and two jet skis along with the houseboat and that worked out well.

Do you have the name of the houseboat rental place?Going to check a few out tomarrow the good folks on here suppiled me with.coobie

We rented one from the "Moors" Several years ago. A very nice, clean boat. Trouble was, we went in the fall and the water is traditionally low, making it potentially dangerous to navigate the boat. You also need an additional small boat if you plan to fish.

Coobie, I did not make the actual arrangements so I have no way of looking up who rents on Lake Powell but I doubt they operate on KY lake anyway.

We rented from Green Turtle Bay also. It was a very nice boat and a positive experience. We did it about 4 years ago. They list there location as Lake Barkley, but you can't get to Kentucky Lake in just a few minutes. One thing we did was get one with a hot tub. That was a waste, we only used it a couple of times, and it really loaded down the generator when we had it on. Also bring along a good flash light. Our boat didn't have a search light. Its not like your going to be out and about at night but some good light was needed a couple of times in resetting the anchor. At that time, if you rented during the week, you got 4 days and only 3 days on the weekend, so the weekdays gave you a little more time.

In my above post I made a typo and said you can't get to Kentucky Lake from Brakley. My bad, you can since the two lakes connect with a waterway. Kentucky lake is also much better for boating, its a lot wider.

Did it for a week on Lake of the Ozarks a few years ago and it was a great time. Here is link for place that has houseboat rentals listed for all over the country,seems I remember the name Adventure a few years back when we were looking into it. Hope this helps
