Watcha eating?

Boy, is this thread going weirdly off topic....but it sure is fun to follow.... I have never had an oyster or clam in my entire life, unless Clam Chowder counts. Sorry, to me the things look repulsive and I would have to be really hungry to try consuming one. As for sushi and other raw seafood...I wouldn't want to try them, for all I know they taste better than boogers but I am in no hurry to find out. The weird thing is, so many people will rave about a certain food and praise how great it tastes, but others will say they wouldn't dream about eating it. Now, I know liver is supposed to be really healthy for you and my mom used to prepare it all the time when I was a kid, but I always hated the taste. Everybody else in my family would scarf the stuff down and wonder why I hated it.

Now Bill - You do know that eating raw oysters is said to make you stand up straight....You know that right ? :D

Speaking of odd raw food... in 1995 in Kofu Japan I ate "ba sashi" I believe it is calle... my host served it and I had to eat it...

Today skipped bfast, and had a burger, fries and a couple drafts at the airport. I believe I'm buying a fancy steak dinner for the whole crew tonight in Denver...

Sales... such a grind... :D

Be well all,
David

I really like liver and onions; usually gives me indigestion, but it's good. I used to not like it, until one of my Yankee friends suggested that you always buy calf's liver and that you soak it overnight in milk. Seems as the milk neutralizes some of the enzymes and other baddies in there that gives liver a strong taste. Makes a BIG difference in the flavor.

When I was in Mombasa, Kenya, I had some coconut curried lobster on a bed of rice. That was one of the most memorable dishes I ever had. It was beyond delicious. A tall mug of cold Tusker Beer rounded out my dinner. I am particularly fond of curried chicken or beef prepared in the African style over rice with nuts, coconut, sliced bananas, and raisins. I want it just hot enough to make sweat pop out on my forehead. Curry is one of my favorite spices.:licking:

I've making barbeque chicke, potatoes, corn on the cob, peas, and garlic bread. Have to go now and watch the oven and stove.
